National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) begins November 1st so I wanted to talk about it for anyone who wants to write a book or has already started one. I've never participated in NaNoWriMo but it's something I've always wanted to do. Basically the goal is to write a book in a month (it's easier than it sounds, lol). Of course you DO NOT have to write a whole book. It's just meant for fun and as a way to connect with other people who write. If you write 1,000 words then, hey, that's better than 0. Anyone at any age can participate. Lots of schools get involved so maybe you could suggest NaNoWriMo to your principal and the English classes may be able to participate. When you sign up on NaNoWriMo's page you'll be able to track your progress and connect online with other writers when you need a pep talk. :)
