Team Caeden

It's looking like Insider's going to release early! Yippee! I don't know when, since editing isn't complete yet (almost), but maybe this weekend. I hope! My birthday is next Friday and so my best friend Shelby made me this awesome shirt. Be jealous, very jealous! Haha! (I am planning on opening a cafe press store where you can purchase book merchandise)

I'm done! I'm done! Done! Done! Done! Done! That's right I'm done with Insider! Cue my victory dance!



Alright, now I'm done dancing.
Insider is clocking in around 68,000 words. (Outsider was 92,000) BUT some of the stuff that was going to be at the end of Insider is better suited for the third book. (Tentatively scheduled to release in March) Also, it might get longer with editing because I usually add 5,000 to 10,000 words. So, we'll see.
I will try to start editing tomorrow and after I edit it, it's edited again by someone else, but it may be released early. (I hope) If it is, I'll be sure to make an announcement when it goes live.

Also, all my books are getting new covers! Yay! More excitement!


This means, I'm postponing the giveaway. DON'T FROWN! It'll probably take place around the end of September instead of the beginning. It just all depends on how long it takes to get them done. But just know, that I have not forgotten the giveaway.

Several items have also been added to the giveaway (nothing big). We decided  not to do bracelets (they took too long to make) but I do have a test one that I have no interest in keeping so it's been added to the giveaway. And my 9 year old cousin Jordan, sweetie pie that she is, made me some things to giveaway out of perler beads which are seriously, like, the coolest things ever.

The bracelet has wooden beads, a cupcake charm, S charm, a wolf charm, C charm, and a heart that says made with love.

Oh, and I want to let you all know that there's not a whole lot of action in Insider (there is some, it's not boring or anything), but there's not some big battle. I don't want you to be disappointed so I'm warning you now. I expect the 3rd book to have a lot more action.

Graduation

I'm writing Caeden and Sophie's graduation! I think I might cry! These characters are like my kids!

Caeden smiled at the little girl. Her hair was super curly and pale blond. She was dressed in a pink and green flowered dress and was probably the cutest thing I had ever seen. “Can I have a high-five?” he stuck his hand out.

The little girl smiled, her teeth pearly white and widely spaced apart. She smacked her tiny hand against Caeden’s large one. My stomach lurched with some unknown emotion. 

Peek

I've been busy today and battling a killer headache or I would've posted a peek earlier. It's almost 10 o' clock at night and my headache is FINALLY gone so I'm just now getting down to business and writing. It's never too late? Right? Haha.

I saw this video on youtube and I just had to share the awesomness that is this band. Just wow.

“If we don’t get in bed soon I’m going to fall asleep in your arms.”

He laughed and nuzzled my neck. “That wouldn’t be a bad thing.”

I pulled away and headed to the door. After the third try it clicked and the door swung open. I let the dogs go first before I stepped inside. The dogs headed straight for my room.

“They’re going to totally hog the bed,” I said to Caeden as I closed and locked the door.

Grinning, he whispered, “You’re right.”

We tiptoed quietly down the hallway and into my room. Sure enough the two dogs were on the bed snoozing.

“Murph, Arch, off the bed,” commanded Caeden.

Murphy immediately obliged but Archie opened his eyes and quirked his brow before going back to sleep. Caeden through his arms in the air and looked at me.

“Well, I tried.” He hooked his thumbs into the back of his shirt and yanked it off.

This is my dog, Tucker, after he ate his dinner. Haha. I guess he got his tummy full and decided he needed a nap. 

Oh Bryce

In other news:

I want to move. So bad. Virginia officially has the freakiest weather ever. I feel like I was up half the night because the thunder was so loud. And yesterday we even had like, 3 flood warnings, and a tornado warning. A tornado warning! In Virginia! 

Then this morning the sun's shining on the way to my aunt's house. Suddenly it get's really dark. And I'm like, "Whaaaaaaat? Where'd the sun go?"It was there and then it just wasn't. Here's a pic, it looked darker in real life though.

I'm working very hard to have Insider done on time. The last thing I want to do is change the release date. I'll be disappointed and so will you guys. (I really thought I'd have it done early and be able to release it in August but July got so messed up that I've been playing catch up) I do have 40,000 words though!

In other news...

Had another freaky storm in Virginia today and heard the loudest thunder I've ever heard in my entire life. And if one more person says to me, "We need the rain," I might just lose my mind. We've had more rain this summer than any other summer I can remember.

Insider Official Blurb!!!

Just something funny

So, I get up from my desk, say hi to Bennie and Tucker and almost leave the family room. Suddenly I'm like, "Where's Zar?" In a panic I search the room and can't find him. I look at my grandma and say, "Oh no! He must have gotten left outside! What if he ran away!" About that time I glance in the direction of my desk and this is what I see:

I was panicking for no reason whatsoever. Zar was just chillin' like a villian completely oblivious to my distress.

Cause they hear I got swagger...
